Mysore Manjunath (Carnatic Violin)

Amazingly gifted Violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath, the son and disciple of renowned violinist Prof. Mahadevappa, was a remarkable child prodigy who matured quickly to emerge as one of the top ranking Violinist in India today. His exceptional musical talents were first revealed at very tender age of Eight when he stormed in to the music world sweeping all the music lovers & critics off their feet by his extraordinary musical acumen and technical virtuosity.

From child prodigy to trail blazer, captivating audiences & critics, Dr.Manjunath has created an amazing record as Star Performer in prestigious organizations world over. From Royal Albert Hall-London to Sydney Opera house, from Common Thread Music festival in Oregon to Oxford University, From Santa-Fe festival in New Mexico to World Music Festival in Chicago to Esplanade Theatre in Singapore-to Federation Square in Melbourne, Dr.Manjunath has enthralled audiences with his magical violin all over the world. The Los Angeles Times warmly noted that Manjunath has "crossed over so many boundaries, that his style is purely personal." He has brought laurels and glory to the field of Indian classical Music with the great sitar player Bharathratna Pandith Ravishankar admired and complemented his music and called him the ‘Prince of Mysore’ when he attended the live concert of Dr.Manjunath in Sandiego in 2012. Manjunath recently performed the first ever Indian Violin concert at the prestigious Oxford University.

Violin Concerts of Dr. Manjunath have been featured in innumerable Music festivals & conferences all over the world. He is the First Indian violinist to be invited to perform at the Prestigious International Violin Conference held in Sandiego. He has performed at highly reputed World Music festival in Chicago, Bozar Music conference in Belgium, Conservatorium Van Amsterdam & National Centre for early music-UK. The Government of India sent him to Slovenia for special Republic Day concert at the Congress Hall as the cultural representative of our country. some of the Top European orchestras like Ictus, Okamoon have repeatedly featured him as a lead Violinist in various concert series in France, Germany, Netherlands. His concert at Reputed Milano Music festival in Italy was telecast live across Europe. He was invited to perform at reputed Putra World Trade Centre- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, SAARC summit, Theatre-dala-ville in Paris, Singapore Fine arts, has been a regular performer at prestigious Sidney Music Festival, Savai Gandharv Festival In Pune, Doverlane Festival-Kolkata &Etc. His outstanding performances at the International violin conferences won him great admiration at the International level. Dr.Manjunath and his illustrious brother Mysore Nagaraj make a formidable violin duet team.

Dr.Manjunath has the distinction of being invited for special presentations, and workshops at some of the World’s Top Universities including, The MIT-USA, Oxford University, University of Chicago, Oxford University, University of North Texas, The Kansas state University, University of Osaka Japan, University of Princeton, Griffith University-Australia, Texas A & M University- USA, University of Central Oklahoma, The University of Utrecht–School of Arts- Netherland. World renowned BBC and ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) featured him in their special international programs as the Brilliant Musician from India. Innumerable events he has been invited by Indian embassies abroad. His dexterity in the subject made him one of the Front line Musicians of Indian classical Music. Recently he has been sent for a special Violin concert in Srilanka as a special Cultural Delegate by Indian Government in connection with 70th Independence day celebrations.

Academically also excelling, Dr.Manjunath did his B Music and Master in Music securing First Rank and 4 Gold Medals at the University of Mysore and later on University of Mysore awarded him PhD for his scholarly thesis on Violin. University of Mysore accolades him as one among the alumni having the distinction and Stature of Eminence contributing to the society significantly.

His outstanding achievements made him featured in some of the important radio Interviews including BBC, ABC, Radio Chicago and Radio Germany.
Some of his concerts were live broadcast over the international TV & Radio channels including Radio Germany, Radio Chicago. Manjunath has been awarded A-Top Ranking status. He has collaborated with innumerable world class musicians & orchestras in various Instrumental Fusion concerts all across the Globe. His concerts with Akamoon, Spinifex & ictus were super hit shows in Europe.

Dr. Manjunath is one of the youngest Recipients of prestigious Sangith Natak Academy Award by The Government of India. He is the youngest musician to receive prestigious Rajyothsava Award by the Government of Karnataka. Other important awards he has been honored with include The Excellence Award from American Institute of World culture, Honors from the American Arts council, Best Violinist awards from The Music Academy, Meritorious Award from University of Oklahoma-USA, Pragya Award by ACWS, Best violinist award from The Indian fine arts society, Chowdiah National Award by Academy of Music, Aryabhata Award, Sangeeth Samrat, Sangitha Vidwanmani, Sangita Vedanta Dhurina, Chowdiah National Award by Academy of Music, Best Violinist Award from Indian Fine Arts Society, Rama Ganakalacharya, Asthana Vidwan from Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Y.T.Tatachari National Award, Rotary Excellence Award & etc. Dr. Mysore Manjunath has repeatedly enthralled audiences all over the world, In over 30 countries. Dr. Manjunath, true cultural ambassador of India, continue to preserve and spread the rich cultural heritage of Indian classical music, in all its glory.

Sumanth Manjunath (Carnatic Violin)

Sumanth Manjunath, son of the acclaimed Violin Maestro Dr.Mysore Manjunath and the wonder Violin kid who has captivated music lovers & critics with my incredible music. He started learning from my grandfather Violin Veteran - Rajya Vidwan S Mahadevappa as a very young boy and from internationally acclaimed violinists Mysore Nagraj and Dr.Mysore Manjunath at home. He is the 3rd generation young violinist who managed to surprise everyone with his technical abilities and Bhava style of presentation.

Sumanth Manjunath has performed at Innumarable National music festivals within and across India. He has also been invited to perform at many reputed venues in major festivals & music conferences across the country and abroad. Music critics and veteran musicians have already noticed a bright spark in his violin playing. Many newspapers have praised his brilliant playing style & immense musical anticipations.

Combining the strengths of various aspects of violin playing and more Bhava style of perception on the Ragas, he has enthralled audiences all across his performances. Widely regarded by fellow musicians and connoisseurs as one of the most promising young violinists in the music scene today, He is currently practicing the great art of Carnatic Music with atmost respect and humbleness.


Tumkur Ravishankar (Mridangam)

Vidwan Tumkur B. Ravishankar is a leading mridangam player. To begin with he learnt from his father Vidwan Bhadrachar and then continued under the guidance of Vidwan Karaikkudi Mani. He is a ‘A Top’ graded artiste of AIR and one of the most sought after percussionist..


Sai Shivu (Mridangam)
Sai Shivu is a Professional Mridangam artiste and the Disciple of world renowned Mridangam Maestro Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani and an A grade artiste with All India Radio. Sai Shiv initially trained under the guidance of Guru Sri V. Nagabhushanachar. 

Sai Shivu had an opportunity to perform in front of the maestro Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani in 2006 . After viewing his performance he accepted him as his disciple. He had the opportunity to experience the Gurukula form of training at Guru Karaikudi Mani's school in Chennai. This was truly a turning point in his learning process and career. He proceeded to advanced and intensive training under his Guru's able guidance to learn the intricacies and complexities of this wonderful musical instrument.

Sai Shivu currently performs both as a solo percussionist and accompany artistes. He has been an accompanying artist to many top artistes and also a part of many percussion ensembles of his Guru.
