Artists
Sri. Chinnamanur A.Vijay Karthikeyan & Sri. Idumbavanam V.Prakash
Ilayaraja, hailing from
illustrious musical lineages, are seasoned Nagaswaram
artists playing together for the last few
years. This well received collaboration was fostered by their mentors, the eminent Nagaswaram
Vidwan, Kalaimamani, Rajarathna Keezhvelur Sri. N G Ganesan, and the Tavil maestro
Kalaimamani Thanjavur Sri. T R Govin
darajan.
Vijay Karthikeyan
Born into a family of musicians, Vijay Karthikeyan, started his training in Nagaswaram from his
grandfather Chinnamanur Sri. C. V Ganesan at the young age of 9, and learnt vocal music from his
mother Smt. G.
Krishnaveni Arjunan. He later studied Nagaswaram under Thiruppamburam
Brothers. He is a 'top' graded artist in All India Radio and Doordarshan, and an empanelled artist in
ICCR. He has performed in many prestigious music festivals in India and abroad. He h
as also
participated in many seminars and workshops on Carnatic Music. He is a recipient of several awards
from prestigious organisations. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor of Nagaswaram at
Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu.

Prakash Ilayaraja
Born in Tiruvarur district, Idumbavanam Prakash
Ilayaraja
belongs to a great tradition of
Nagaswaram Vidwans. He underwent rigorous training from his father Sri K.S.Vedamoorthy from the
age of 8. He later learnt under the eminent Nagaswaram
Vidwan Isaimani Segal G. Renganathan.
He is also a graduate in Music, from University of Madras. He has performed in many prestigious
music festivals in India and abroad. He is a recipient of several awards from prestigious
organisations. 'A' graded artis
t in All India Radio and Doordarshan, he is one of the most sought
after Nagaswaram Vidwan. Presently, he is teaching at Tamil Nadu Government Music School.
J.Vaidhyanathan
J.Vaidhyanathan hails from a family of Legendary musicians. He is the son of "Sangeetha Kalanidhi" Sri
D.K. Jayaraman and the nephew of "Padma Vibhushan" Smt D.K. Pattammal. He is a disciple of
"Sangeetha Kalanidhi", "Mridanga Chakravarthi" Maestro Dr
T.K. Murthy.
He has won several awards and titles in his 33 years of concert experience.
He has been invited regularly by All India Radio for Sangeetha Sammelan and National Programmes.
Needless to say, he has been travelling all over the world frequently.
Karthick Subramaniam
Dr. 'Ghatam' KARTHICK
is one of the shining star artistes on his captivating clay pot instrument. His creative
originality, distinct stage
-
presence,
vibrant virtuosity, nimble fingers and a nimbler mind have all made him
a
most sought after percussionist in Indian Classical Carnatic Music
